Nature's Lesson
-- by Bonnie Duckworth - Copyright 1999 -- earthquack@msn.com

Mother nature laboriously tends her offspring,
bathing them with rain and,
drying them under the warmth of her sun.
Gently, she cradles them upon her earthy breast,
as they root and feed contentedly,
suckling on the nipple of her voluptuous, bosom.

Lavished with her tender, loving care,
they flourish abundantly,
growing into sturdy, dependable adults.
Tutored by the best, her offspring proliferate,
raising more of their own in like manner,
filling the earth with their beauty and charm.

Each having their own personality, but endowed with,
the wisdom and trust mother nature bestowed upon them,
they continue to grow, never deviating from her teachings.
Undaunted by the perils man has flung upon them,
they mingle unselfishly among each other,
sharing the fruits of their labor with all who need.
