As I step out into a bright, starlit night and gaze,
into the vast universe surrounding me, I see God.
When clouds wrap their downy blankets around the sun, seams burst,
spilling a myriad of fleecy flakes spiraling to the ground, I see God.
As springtime awakens the sleeping world, drawing back winter’s blanket,
uncovering brightly colored flowers and plants of every hue, I see God.
When swollen, dark clouds burst forth like giant water balloons splattering
the,
earth, spilling into babbling brooks, flowing into the oceans, I see God.
When the earth yields forth its fruit, and gentle breezes meander through
fields,
rippling and swaying shades of grain, hay, and crops of green, I see God.
As the sunset’s rays paint brilliant scenes on the canvas of the horizon,
creating artistic, black silhouettes of all nature framed in its’ glory, I
see God.
When Autumn turns the world into an artist’s gallery, resplendent shades
blend,
as each stroke of brilliant color portrays a master’s touch, I see God.
As winds whispering through trees, coax the aging leaves to release their
hold,
then gently float them to the ground, creating a colorful blanket, I see
God.
When a masked bandit prowls onto my patio, fluffy, ring striped tail,
dainty paws, stealthily reaching for my pets food, I see God.
As Blue Jays jauntily flit amongst the branches, chattering squirrels
leaping,
and running, all competing for a free meal, I see God and know I’m never
alone.
