An Ode to Odgen
-- by Don Mulford - Copyright 1999 -- steldon@nbnet.nb.ca

Some say that Nash wrote only trash;
They say his style is frightful,
But I'm perverse, I think his verse
Is nothing but delightful.

He takes such liberties with words,
He won't respect their spelling,
But he can always find a rhyme,
Whatever tale he's telling.

His verse is so amusing that
You'll find it worth your while
To read it when you're feeling down;
It's sure to make you smile.
