Faithfully, I fill the bird feeder every morn,
Birds, showing their intestinal fortitude,
Sparrows, grackles and chickadees, too;
They attack it with fury....I watch it go
down.
By nightfall it's empty...the food is all
gone;
Witness this spectacle and I'm sure you'll
see why,
