Good Poetry

I surely would like to present,
a poem of GREAT INTENT!
But woe is me, as you can see,
it's only a dream to me.
Some days I try hard to aspire,
yon' dream on which to retire.
If to greatness I'm ever lead,
T'will be after I am dead.
Finally, it dawned upon me,
just what makes good poetry.
"Tis "The Touch of the Master's Hand",
that makes our poetry GRAND!
The difference that matters a lot,
is the battle that's been fought,
that makes our poetry worthwhile,
though in the "Dead Poets" file.
