From the Time We Are Born Till We Die
-- by Mangala Prabhu - Copyright 1999 -- bprakash@satyam.net.in

We all grow old every moment that passes by.
With time we mature,
In thought and stature.
Why then, the aged are shunned
When they are closer to their end,
When they need our love and care And all the time we can spare?
They loved us , cared for us,
Built their lives around us.
Yet we have forgotten all they have done.
Be we a daughter or their son,
Don’t kill them for want of love
For we are being watched by God above!
With time will come a stage,
When we will be bent with age,
When we will need the love and care
And all the time our child can spare.
Soon it will be time for us to think
When the world can change at an eye’s blink
Is my life yet another Titanic on its way to sink?
Then the realization comes too late.
Friends ,now its all in the game
For this sad state we are to blame.
