Raison D'Etre!
-- by Don Mulford - Copyright 1999 -- steldon@nbnet.nb.ca

I won’t pretend the verse I’ve penned
Is learned or profound.
I’ll never try to make you cry,
Though morbid thoughts abound!

I see my role as being droll;
I’ll try to make you smile,
For this short life is full of strife
And gloom will take its toll.

So please feel free to laugh with me
When you read what I’ve penned.
Remember too, I’ll laugh with you
Right to the happy end!

A smile is a curved line that puts everything straight.
