Reclining In Jesus
-- by Norman Fikes- Copyright 2000 -- norbob@viptx.net

I'm tired tonight, but I's so glad I am here,
Here at my church with my kin folks so dear.
On a Sunday night, and feeling Gods' touch,
With brothers and sisters that love so much.

It is a restful place, here at my church,
Away from the rush, and trials of lifes' search.
For it is here that I rest, and fill up my soul,
To gain more power, for to reach that goal.

And someday soon, over on the other side,
Where there is no sin, sickness, and no pride.
I'll rest with Jesus, and walk streets of gold,
Never to be tired again, and never to grow old.

So let me invite you - dear friend of mine,
Come into our church, and in Jesus recline.
