Three men knocked on the Pearly Gates;
"Well, first I need to know,"
St. Peter said, "just what you did
When you were Down Below."

"I was a teacher," spoke up one,
"Of sociology."
"Well, welcome, friend, come right on in,
Remain eternally!"

"I was a traveling salesman," said
The second hopefully..
"Well, welcome, friend, come right on in,
For all eternity."

The third man squared his shoulders and
He proudly raised his head;
"I was a Chief Executive,
An HMO," he said.

St. Peter frowned, "I'll have to check! . . .
Just let me count the ways . . .
Well, we'll admit you, Sir, but you . . .
Can only stay two days!"
