Reincarnation
(to my Cousin Elizabeth)

-- by Joseph C. Dorffner, Sr. - Copyright 1998 -- jkebrr@sun-link.com

Just as my cousins spouse,
I too did walk the earth of old.
Here in words of rhyme and poetry,
the story I do unfold.

A youthful poet back then I be,
that took quill and parchment in hand.
Scribing tales of life and truth,
that for time unending they would stand.

Lived in a magnificent castle,
within the towers there toiled I.
My works encompassing all within view,
earth up to Heavenly sky.

Scribed my feelings of all in between,
of sun and moon as well.
Tales that told of Heavenly bliss,
the miseries of Hell.

Inked in fancy script,
at times expressed in bold.
These the words to convey,
the tales they were of old.

Now if you were to search,
a book for my words to print.
You would not likely find it,
these words just a figment.
