The Shadow Returns
-- by Bob (Grandpa) Tucker -- Copyright 1996

I hear The Shadow came back down
To have another look around.
He saw the billionaire, and then,
He saw the Ethiopian.

He saw frightened kids in first grade classes.
He saw government that’s run by asses.
He saw our industries downsizing.
He saw our races, all despising.

As he scrambled out of here,
He left this message loud and clear:

“Oh, when you hear that old refrain,
Just say that I was back again
And tell them all it wasn’t so.
For there’s evil here I didn’t know.”
