Those Little Shoes
-- by Savanna Lutz -- Copyright 1997 -- sambo@pnn.com

Where are my babies that needed my care,
and diapers changed on bottoms bare,
with little smiles on faces so small,
I've looked everywhere, they're nowhere at all.

Lord, I miss those long age times,
of little golden books,& nursery rhymes,
with eyes looking up,so full of love,
and each one a gift, from God above.

each one being their own little self,
each as different as books on a shelf,
maybe God had just loaned them to me,
for today they are only a memory.

I have their pictures,& their little shoes,
so I know they were here, maybe they moved,
there were two little girls,& three baby boys,
they were just here, for there is their toys!

two of them are dark & three are light,
I hope they get home before it gets night,
if you happen to see them, alone out there,
tell them I love them,& that I still care.

And that I'll never forget their little face,
that they've grown & gone in such a haste,
and if you would snd them back, would be so neat,
I'll see if these shoes fit those little feet.
