Sixty
-- by Charlie Ridgley -- Copyright 1997 -- ridgleyc@mail.island.net

Though you've reached the age of sixty,
You still seem fifty-one.
You like to laugh and josh around,
Enjoying all the fun.

You say that you are just as old,
As each day you may feel,
'though you make me wonder where to look,
To find some youth to 'steal'?

I'll love you Pixy, pure and strong,
Throughout my entire life,
But until I have 'nough money,
I'll not ask you to be my wife.

Please stay as sweet and loving,
As you've been throughout our time?
And I know you think it's silly,
Putting my love to rhyme.

We know roses are red, we know violets are blue,
But t'is not my way of saying: "I love you!"
