I asked the Lord in heaven,
can someone love me true?
He answered, Yes, my child
there is a love for you.

It can happen in a moment
and you may be unaware,
but never stop believing
that your true love will be there.

Someone who will hold you
through the darkest night,
Someone who will fill your heart
with happiness and light.

Someone who will need you
to brighten up their day,
Someone who will love you
more and more each day.

Don't lose hope my precious child
you will find true love,
trust the One who loves you true,
your Father up above...
