Just down the road....around the bend,
Some time must pass before spring truly
arrives;
The male goldfinch will turn to gold,
Most of the robins haven't arrived as yet,
Ducks and geese will fly north to nest...
We are now hearing the songs that the
cardinals sing;
On the warming breeze floats
mourning dove's call'
Chipmunks awaken from their sleep
undeground,
With cheeks stuffed full, to their burrow
they dash;
Some other signs of spring are beginning
to show,
We may get more snow before winter's
end,
