A Star Is Born
-- by Ed Shustack Copyright 1998 -- shu@bellatlantic.net

Jillian Grace was ready to go
Until the angel in charge whispered "no."
Someone was coming for her to meet
Before she left St. Peter's Street.

Suddenly there was a thunderous roar
And the Express pulled in on Heaven's Floor.
When the doors finally opened wide
There was Granny sitting inside.

She slowly rose and made her way
To the cradle where little Jillian lay.
Then she kissed and hugged her tight
As the baby held on with all her might.

Speaking in a voice loud and clear
Jillian's Greatgrandma proclaimed for all to hear:
"This is my sweetie-pie and she's going to earth
And Heaven is going to celebrate her birth."
