Mr. Sunshine
-- by William G. Lyon -- Copyright 1997 -- lyon0013@inquo.net

Mr. Sunshine, please shine right down on me,
And make me as happy as I could ever be.
I always love your pretty Beams of Radiant light,
And hate the time you go to sleep at night.

I look for warmth in the air, when you shine down,
When it's Spring I watch you melt Frozen ground.
Then comes the rain, which brings much dirt and mud,
So Mother can wash my hands with Soap and Suds.

Yes, I like the strength of your warmth and Glory,
And that Mr. Sunshine, is why I tell my Story.
So give me time to enjoy, the things you bring,
Like the Birds that fly so high on the Wing.
