Tales
-- by Steve Topping -- Copyright 1996 -- topwheel@softcom.net

Come with Me, All You Young Cow Punchers
Young and Old, What Makes the Diff
Listen and Laugh, at the Stories of Old
As Told by this Old Stiff

Grandpa, Did You Really Do the Things You Say?
I'm Dying If I'm Lying, with a Great Big Grin
Come See, Come Sigh, and Plan to Stay
And Hear about Your Kin

Can I See with My Eyes Closed, Grandpa
As I Listen to These Stories and Tales?
If You Can't, Then Just Listen to the Wales
As I Tell These Stories and Big Tall Tales

Mommys and Daddys, You'll Be Someday
So Make Sure You Listen Real Close
And Someday, You'll Tell Your Children
What They Want to Hear the Most
Stories of Old, Will Never Die
'Cause They'll Live in the Minds of the Young

And Someday, You May Look up at the Sky
And There Will Be a Cloud with Two Sails
Standing There, Will Be Your Grandma and I
And Me Telling Her My Stories and Big Tall Tales
