Tax Time Tango
-- by Pat M. Brown Copyright 1998 -- pat-m-brown@erols.com

Adding or subtracting,
Which way to go.
Bills coming and going
Neatly stacked in rows.

Tax time’s ‘round the corner,
Uncle Sam will have his due,
While you sit there at your desk
With your brains all askew.

Now take a deep breath.
Yes, you’re under the gun.
Just think how you’ll feel
When it’s over and done.

Keep plugging away
The time is but brief.
You’ve finished your work.
Whew! What a relief!

Yes! The job’s finally over.
Take a break, have a snack.
Prop up your feet, now relax.
You’re getting money back!
