Today
-- by Bob (Grandpa) Tucker-- Copyright 1995

Think of the millions that don't have today.
While they looked forward, it slipped away.
They could have been glad
In the days that they had,
But dreamed of tomorrow, trudged through each day.

This message brings hope, joy and not sorrow.
This day is a gift you can't buy, trade, or borrow.
So accept it with grace,
With a smile on your face.
For no one, my friend, is promised tomorrow.

Yesterday's over, that dye has been cast.
Live fully this day, not ones that are past.
Days over are done,
You can change just THIS one.
Love it and live it as though it's your last.

Rejoice as you're thinking, "This is My Day!"
Always keep smiling as you go on your way
Enjoy every minute,
And each person that's in it.
If tomorrow does come, you'll be proud of today.
