Two Paths Not Taken
-- by E. E. Biller - Copyright 1998 -- E.Biller@worldnet.att.net

We strolled a lovers stroll hand in hand
Kathy and I over wind and sand
Till in a clearing just ahead
Three paths loomed , their courses spread

The destinations were not clear
which made the pending choice more dear
we knew that once wrong way chosen
our return would not be frozen

but having witnessed other such delays
return routes were time wasted, futile displays
to avoid such errors’ circumstance
we wrapped each other in protective glance

we chose the path of middle course
determined to continue void remorse
despite our choice, we'd be not shaken
nor regret two paths not taken.
