Give Unselfishly
-- by original poem by Terry Ann Braaten -- Copyright 1997 -- tahoegirl@freewheeling.com

Just like the little wildflowers
growing unseen in the wood...
Let me also be content and not
seek praises for my good.

We're told quite plainly in the Word
to love and help our brothers.
But, not because we want to have
the praises of the others.

If we seek our rewards on earth
there will be none left above.
So don't do good to be "seen by men"
Just do it out of love.

Remember what the Lord has said
and remember HE will see
"Whatever you do to the least of them,
You've done it unto Me".
