A Voyage
-- by Bernard Gluck - Copyright 1999 -- bgluck@earthlink.net

Oh Captain, my Captain,
Where went you yesterday?
"With comrades two aboard a boat
Did we three sail away."

Your voyage that you three did take
What mission did there be?
"To seek a catch of fishes there
Beneath a calm blue sea."

When you returned by mid of day
You brought with you a score?
"We'll have to sail another day
And bring back home some more."

"We set our course 180 with
Your captain at the wheel.
A school of porpoise off the bow
All looking for a meal."

"The summer sun was shining bright;
The weather was the best.
We each returned to our home
To get a little rest."
