For over fifty years, I've walked these lands,
It seems I've lived much more than just one life,
During that time, I've seen alot of joy,
Had MUCH more than my share of grief and strife.

I've seen my children grow into adults,
Who brought me much more pride than I can say,
And they've found ones to love them, as do I,
And kids, they'll be as proud of too, one day.

I've reached an understanding with my Lord,
I know there is a reason for each blow,
I've made my peace, I'm not afraid to die,
My only wish.... is that it won't be slow.
