Weather or Not!

The weather man was full of gloom!
No snow this Christmas Night!
No snowmen dancing on the lawn,
No trees bedecked with white.
"They'll all blame me!" thought Weather Man,
"They'll say I failed my task."
"But I can't help it if it's warm
When snow is what they ask!"
"But Santa Claus will come, I'm sure!
His reindeer will get through.
They'll guide his sleigh with all the toys,
Just as they always do!"
So Christmas Day dawned fair and green
As Weather Man foretold,
But though there wasn't any snow
The wind was brisk and cold.
Then Weather man took out his charts
And scanned them once again.
At once he saw that pretty soon
There would be snow again!
So Weather Man was overjoyed,
Things looked much better now.
"Though Christmas wasn't white" he said,
"I'll make this solemn vow!"
On New Year's Eve, with parties done
And you take to your bed,
I promise you'll be waking to
A white New Year instead.
