Where To?

Railroad track
Endless and black
Carrying the big trains swiftly by
Engine smoke darkening the sky
As I played in the dust and grime
During that moment in a long past time

When as a child my cares were few
And my dreams were still brand new
Of things to do and mountains to climb
And I asked, "Dear God, will you give me time?"
For all that lies at the end of those tracks I see
I must find out what's there for me.
