You Have Turned Another Page
-- by Shelby Forrest - Copyright 1998 -- sforrest@earthlink.net

(A birthday card to my wife)

Today is another special day,
A special day for you.
Only yesterday you were 71
Today you are seventy two

The last forty six have been the best
I'm sure you will agree,
Because, My Dear, these are the years
That you have spent with me.

Both good and bad times we have known
Experienced joy and pain
If I had you to do it with,
I'd do it all over again

In the years ahead God leaves for us
It will not matter whether
Our paths take storm or sunshine
So long as we're together.
