Wow
-- by Linda LaRae Adsitt Copyright 1998 -- trout@televar.com

Eyes just barely flicker; Filtered light arrives within,
Dreams recess the brain works, and the day starts with a grin.
The babies eyes peek open, On a brand new special world,
We hear a great big happy " Wow!" as lashes come unfurled.

He thinks it is so beautiful, This sunlit bright new day,
It's lovely just to wake this morn. What ever come what may.
Excitement wiggles every toe; loud giggles fill the air,
Anticipation rises up, no nothing can compare.

The hair now turns to silver sitting in the rocking chair,
Then the babe comes marching in to make us all aware.
One little baby syllable, to show us life is great,
Only one sweet little word, advice that is first rate.

A teeny baby's wisdom, We choose for all our sake.
To start the day with pleasure as the sleepy orb's awake,
Generations come and go, With each their inhibitions,
But all can share a morning "WoW!" with nary more additions.
