Yellow Rose
-- by John J. Prusinowski - Copyright 1999 -- BigJohnP@email.msn.com

Looking from my window at
the field across the way
I can see a yellow rose
blooming on this bright sunny day

It's just a single rose
all alone
That I'm sure would look pretty
in someone's home

I walked out to pick
this rose of gold
To send it along
for my friend to hold

Than I decided
This rose should stay
Out in the field
across the way

I'm sure my friend
would understand
That this rose should stay
to beautify this land

Now every time
I look at this yellow rose
It will remind me of our friendship
that will never close
